As part of its efforts towards achieving its corporate vision (nurturing its talented football players in its academy to stardom) the management of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort has, thus, embarked upon strategic alliances with top European clubs.
To get our boys into top shape, they need certain facilities to work with.
Sporting facilities is one of the conditions that make footballers to compete at the highest level. We take development of our players seriously, hence, our investment in sporting infrastructure that catapults them to the required level.
Fitness sessions in our gym and swimming sessions in our swimming pool are parts of the fitness routines designed to make players in our football academy and football club develop physically and mentally.
Besides development of physical and mental awareness of our players, there are other facilities with the sole functions of enhancement of specific skills of our players; skills such as shooting precision, dribbling and so on.
Our Sporting activities are divided into three areas, namely;
We have Ilaji Soccer Academy which comprises Under U-12 and U-14. The idea is to nurture these set of players based on our own football philosophy and culture. Any of them that is able to adapt to our coaching techniques and subsequently mature football wise automatically graduates to our senior football Club, Ilaji Football Club (IFC). IFC is a professional football club run with the ultimate goal of profit making. Here are players who can play in any professional league.
Association with Clubs outside Nigeria
In order to achieve our goal, we have come to an understanding that strategic alliances would have to be made. Thus, we have made certain steps towards this end. We have formed a strategic association with European Clubs; SWIESQI FC United, Malta and Malaga CF, Spain. With these alliances with these clubs, our players’ passage to Europe has been somewhat smoothened.
Membership of football bodies in Nigeria
We have registered with Oyo State Football Association as well as Nigeria Football Federation. With these registrations, we have made our clubs bona fide members of apex football bodies both at the national and state level.
